Melanie Amin

Director of Clinical Operations, Behavioral Health, LCSW

Melanie Amin is the Clinical Director for Behavioral Health at Silver Lining, where she leads multidisciplinary teams and clinical operations, and provides supervision, consultation, and community education workshops. She also sees clients as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Melanie earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago and treats adults of all ages in individual, couples, and family therapy. With over 20 years of experience, she supports clients facing depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, trauma, loss, grief, life transitions, and chronic illness, and has guided groups, case management, and crisis services in healthcare and community settings. Known for her empathetic, validating approach, Melanie creates a safe space that fosters expression and positive change. Her primary therapy style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, complemented by mindfulness, strengths, and solution-based techniques. Melanie collaborates with clients to set and achieve meaningful goals. She holds an MSW from UIC (Jane Addams College of Social Work), a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a member of NASW.
